Hello LW families,
My name is Holly Spurgeon and this is my fourth year teaching in Washburn. This year I made the switch from teaching kindergarten to junior high science and STEM. This position is the best of both worlds for me, as I am able to work with a variety of ages across the district. This is my tenth year teaching, I previously taught in Peoria and Washington. My past experience has focused in junior high and I have taught many subjects but science is by far my favorite. I recieved my Bachelors in Elementary Education and a minor in Theatre in 2013 from Illinois State University.
